Adult Bible Fellowship
Adults meet at 9:45 each Sunday morning in Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) classes. We emphasize teaching the Bible during the class time because God's Word, applied to us by the Holy Spirit, is what changes lives.
You can read about current classes below. With questions on any class, please contact the deacons while we are in transition to our new senior pastor, Dr. Jim Newcomer.
Homebuilders is a discussion-based group open to any adult. Sometimes a book or topic in the Bible is studied, sometimes the class reads a newly published book together and studies it in light of Biblical teaching.
Current studies include:
This group meets in our Fellowship Hall and uses a large-group discussion format. The Fellowship ABF begins with missionary prayer letters and has included studies of books of the Bible as well as a modern-language version of John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress.

tuesday morning women's bible study
Meeting at 10:30 a.m. each Tuesday, this group of women learns from a Bible study book together. Friendships and encouragement fill this class, and a weekly Wednesday lunch out extends the fellowship. Lunches are usually at Denny's on Rawsonville Road (Denny's gives 10% of submitted receipts to Calvary's benevolence fund). Past books studied by this class include Respectable Sins and The Joy of Fearing God, both by Jerry Bridges. With questions about this group, please talk to Sandi Ellis at church or call her, (734) 477-0447.

caleb club senior adult luncheon
A monthly gathering of friends with good food and groan-worthy jokes, the Caleb Club is a popular group here at Calvary. It's named in honor of Caleb, who kept eagerly serving God into his 80s (see Joshua 14:6-15). We usually have around 50 adults coming to share a meal and fellowship. Caleb Club meets at 11:30 the third Thursday of each month. It's organized by Mark and Brenda Meredith; please contact them with questions.
