Giving

“But just as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in complete love for us – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”
– 2 Corinthians 8:7

Ways to Give at Calvary

Weekly offerings are collected during the Sunday morning worship service. You are always welcome to place your gifts into this collection.

If you prefer a different method, Calvary Baptist Church uses PayPal to provide the highest-level security and ease for your online giving through Electronic Funds Transfer.

There are several benefits to online giving for both you and our church. Some of them are:

Regularly honoring God – When you sign up to give online, you are planning in advance to give regularly. A recurring contribution is recurring faithfulness and reflects your ongoing trust toward God.

Helping Calvary – Online giving is more cost-effective for our church to process, and it simplifies our record-keeping.

Simplicity – People automate what is important because they like to make life simpler. When you make your giving automatic, you stop worrying about whether you remembered to do it.

Security – We use an encrypted secure website for your online records. Online giving is more secure than giving with a check or cash because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen.

Online Giving FAQ

Q. What is PayPal?

A. PayPal is an online service for businesses and non-profits to accept payments/donations online. It’s a widely used and safe way for people to send money on the Internet.

Q. Do I need a PayPal account to donate?

A. No — You can simply enter your payment information on PayPal’s secure website and the donation will be sent as a one-time gift to the church.

Q. How does the church get the money I send?

A. After you complete the payment information steps at PayPal, the funds are immediately deposited in the church’s online PayPal account. Our treasurer will then transfer your donation to the church’s bank account.

Q. Are there any fees or costs to give online?

A. Not to you. The full amount that you choose to donate goes to Calvary Baptist Church and is considered a tax-deductible gift. There is a small fee to the church for the processing of credit and debit cards, and for the simplicity and security of the process.

Q. Is my information safe and confidential?

A. Yes — Online giving is actually less risky than handwritten checks. An online transaction cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits. When you give through PayPal, the church does NOT see private information like your debit card or bank account number.
